Irene burned her hand and fingers with the boiling water from cooking pasta and called the FireBurnDoctor within 6 minutes. When the FBD team called her back 4 minutes later, Irene said her pain when she called was 8 (on the scale of 0 to 10) and had already dropped to 7. One hour and 22 minutes later, Irene called to say, "Hi my name is [Irene]. I just wanted to give you a status update. It's doing much better. The pain is maybe a 2. And it went from my whole hand to just my ring finger. So that was really good. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. This is great! I will refer it to all my friends. Thank you so much. If there is anything else you need from me, let me know."

One week later, Irene emailed her report: "Hi Dr, Here is my experience from last Sunday Night, sorry I forgot to send this. Please feel free to make any changes, my spelling and grammar are not the best: I was home cooking pasta. While draining the pasta, I scalded my left hand with boiling water. It was the most painful burn I've ever had. I could not stop crying from the pain for at least 15 minutes. It seemed the pain just got worse and worse. I remembered the Fire burn Doctor from a podcast on Darkness radio, I had programmed the Fire Burn Doctor number on my phone, just in case. I called, and left my information. Within a few minute the Doctor called me back. I talked to him and gave him some additional information. My pain level was an 8 (ten being most painful). Then he said to call him back in an hour, to report my pain level. Which really helped to calm me down, because I needed to attend to my kids which were running amuck around the house. In the next hour, I tried to not concentrate on the burn, I kept busy. Cleaning up dishes and getting the kids ready for bed. My hand would flair up, then go down. By the time the hour was up, My pain level was a 2. By the time I went to bed the pain level was a 1. I took some Advil before bed. I woke up the next day with no pain whatsoever. I had a blister but it was small. The burn was all over my left hand and was reduced to a small blister in my finger. It was an amazing experience. Thank you Fire Burn Doctor!"

"It's gone down. Wow, did you already do something?... I am astounded... This is so freaking amazing!"

Carl burned his finger on a hot soldering iron and called the FireBurnDoctor within 20 minutes. When the FBD team called him back 4 minutes later, Carl said his pain when he made the call was 8 (on the scale of 0 to 10) and had already gone down to 2, adding, "It's gone down. Wow, did you already do something?" One hour later, Carl called to say: "This [Carl] just calling you back. You told me to call you back in an hour. The pain is gone now! After we talked it kicked back in. I almost put the ice back on, but I listened to what you said and didn't. Every now and then it would hurt, then go away. I'd start using the soldering iron again, and when the finger got close to it, it would hurt a bit, but that's it. So I'm pretty amazed. I've had burns on the finger before that have hurt all night. There's a little white mark, no blister, no red mark. It looks like it did when we got off the phone. I just wanted to thank you... Thank you very much."

Two hours later, Carl emailed his report: "My name is [Carl]. I heard about the firedoctor on coast to coast three years ago. i remember storing the number in my phone but haven't had to use it til tonight. I burned myself on a soldering iron. I had a hole in my glove on my index finger and i somehow grabbed the iron on the metal (not paying attention) and immediatly freaked out because it's my first time using it and i read about how hot they get and I ran in to get an ice cube and it was hurting really bad. I kept talking myself down and knew i had to call you guys asap. I kept searching my phone then the internet. A google search for emergency burn.. and Druid and name and birthday and within 30 minutes showed no results. I went to coast to coast am and searched druid and burn and the guest name was listed with the number to call. I dialed it and left a message. They called back about 4 minutes later or less and confirmed my info. i had the ice back on at that point... oh i forgot to mention, when i was researching the site the pain was increasing... even with the ice on. so i knew i was in trouble... i don't know when the pain started subsiding but when the call came and the guy was done confirming my info he asked what my pain level was... i said... uhh... at that point it was gone... but i felt i had to say something because i was worried they would think i wasn't burned. so i said two. Afterward in about 2 minutes it was hurting a bit... i almost put the ice back on but the guy told me not to think about it or worry or put ice on it and go about my business. so i did. the pain went away. everytime i looked at it or thought about it a little pain came in. When i rubbed it the pain would appear for a bit but then dissapear pretty fast. i called at the hour and the pain was gone. It still came and went especially when i got it near the hot iron and an hour and a half later when i was cooking over boiling food the steam would hit it and i would feel pain. But once my finger moved away from heat the pain goes away.

I am astounded. I thought it would work. I am a believer in many things... or rather an open minded guy who thinks all things are possible. I love the idea of this kinda stuff, but always wanted to see it to really believe it. This is so freaking amazing... I burned myself on a hot coal while camping one night and i remember the pain lasted all night long, it was horrible. A finger burn just like this... and there was a blister... but nothing horrid, but the pain was bad!!!! for a long time. This one didn't blister up. It has the two whitish skin points where a blister would be and a slight difference in skin depth where the burn was but it looks like nothing really happened. i can't thank you enough! Thank you much!!! [Carl]"

Partner to the rescue! "The pain is gone! There's just a tingling...." "We are totally stunned."

Roslyn burned her fingers removing red hot cast iron pan from the hot oven and called the FireBurnDoctor within 1 minute. When the FBD team called her back 6 minutes later, Roslyn said her pain when she called was 10 (on the scale of 0 to 10) and had already dropped to 6. About one hour later, Roslyn called to say, "This is [Roslyn]. You asked me to call back and tell you the progress of my burn after an hour. The pain is gone! There's just a tingling where it looks like blisters may happen. Thank you so very much."

About 40 minutes later, Roslyn emailed her report: "This evening, December 2, I burned my thumb and index finger on my left hand grabbing a cast-iron frying pan full of cornbread that I had just removed from the oven. I was hurrying to put it down quickly since it was hot even through the oven mitt was on my right hand. I dropped it onto a cutting board and it started tipping off so I grabbed it with my left hand. The pain from the burns was excruciating. My partner suggested that I call the burn doctor right away. She had heard him interviewed about his work on Pagan FM, a pod cast. She kept his number in her iPhone directory. So she called and found out about the information we needed to give to them. We called them back, gave them the information and were told to resume regular activities and to call them back in an hour to tell them how the pain was. When we had called with our information and waited for a call back the pain started to lessen quickly, moving from a 10 to a 6. I was asked to call back in an hour. Before the end of that hour the pain disappeared and the fingers started to tingle. I still have no pain, even when I press the areas where it looks like blisters could occur. I am very grateful for the work of the burn doctor! [Roslyn]" 

Roslyn's partner then sent to the FBD team, a copy of an email she sent to the radio host who had featured the FireBurnDoctor spokesperson and several "instantly recovered" burn victims as guests on her show: "Hi Dee - Several months ago you interviewed [the spokesperson for] the Fireburn Doctor. I was so impressed by his successes in immediately treating burn victims that I put his number on my speed dial "just in case".  So earlier this evening, my partner was taking a cast iron skillet out of a 400 degree oven when it slipped and she tried to catch it with her bare hand. Immediately two large blisters appeared on her thumb and forefinger. The pain was immediate and excruciating. I grabbed the phone and called the Fireburn Doctor. Ernest burned the fingers of both hands when he was moving the burning firewood in a camp fire and called the FireBurnDoctor about 1 1/2 hours later. When the FBD team called him back 4 minutes after that, Ernest said his pain level when he called was 8 (on the scale of 0 to 10), and had already dropped to 6, adding that he didn't call right away because he didn't know about FBD. When he went inside, he asked a friend if he had anything for burns. Fortunately, Ernest's friend pointed to the FBD sticker on the fridge with the FBD website and phone number printed on it, and he called right away. While explaining all this to the FBD team, Ernest exclaimed,"It's gone down in just the past few minutes, actually it feels cool now." One hour and 15 minutes after that, Ernest called to report: "Hi, this is Ernest. I'm just calling one hour after speaking with you, to say that, Yes, I would say that my pain has gone down to a 3. Thank you very much. Tomorrow I'm going to check your website and see if there's a place to make a donation or something, because I appreciate your help. Thank you."

Many months later, Ernest emailed his report: "Hi.  About 1.5 hours after my hand was burned I contacted the burn doctor.  Within 3hrs after that my pain all but disappeared.  My hand healed up within the coming week and all has been well. Thanks!"

Melinda burned her hand on a hot curling iron and her mother texted the FireBurnDoctor about 2 hours later. When the FBD team called them back right away, Melinda's mother said her pain level was 7 (on the scale of 0 to 10). The next day, Melinda's mother called to say, "She is better, 4 now. Thank you so much." Eight days later, Melinda's mother texted their report: "My daughter burnt her hand with a curling iron and the burn doctor was immediately there to take the pain away. Three-year-old Randy burned his finger on the hot stove grill and his grandmother called the FireBurnDoctor within 2 minutes. When the FBD team called them back, Randy's grandmother said his pain level when she called was 10 (on the scale of 0 to 10) and was now 8 and "going down." One hour and 19 minutes later, Randy's grandmother called to say, "Hi. I'm calling with update: He is doing fine. After about 20 minutes, all pain was gone and he was doing finger painting! So, I'll send an email...Thank you so much, I appreciate you all more than you know!"

Five days later, Randy's grandmother emailed her report: "At about 5:50pm on Dec 16, 2012, I had finished cooking and turned off the stove. Not even one minute later, my 3 year old grandson comes up on the side of me with his finger raised and proceeds to touch the cast iron grate on the stove which was still quite hot! [Randy] was screaming so much I had to go in another room to call fireburndoctor and leave his information. Less than 5 minutes later, they called back to verify the information. By the time we had hung up, my grandson's pain level had dropped from a 10+ to at least a 5. Within 15 minutes the pain was completely gone. In the past, it was easy to distract him. Anna burned her hand on the hot oven rack and her sister texted a picture to the FireBurnDoctor within 5 minutes. One hour later, Anna's sister texted to say, "No pain at all anymore… thank you very much... no redness or tenderness!" The next the FBD team called for feedback and Anna's sister said, "She's good. The pain is gone. went away yesterday, within 45 minutes."

An hour after that, Anna's sister emailed their report: "My sister burned her palm on the oven rack while cooking. It was red right away....she ran it under cold water. She rated the pain at a 6 or 7. I sent the burn dr. a picture of her within a few minutes. A member of the team called back for more info. Within ten minutes her pain was at a 2, and an hour later she couldn't even tell it was burned...no pain or redness was present. Thank you, Burn Doctor Team! Happy Holidays!"

When the FBD team called her right back, Lorraine said her burns were throbbing and the pain level was 8 (on the scale of 0 to 10) and had already gone down to 5 in the last few minutes, adding, "Thank you so much. I was wondering what to do, then I remembered to call you." One hour later, Lorraine texted to say, "Hi, my pain level is now between 2 and 3. I had two burns and the less severe one doesn't hurt at all now. The worse one is still tender, but the pain is definitely less. Thank you so much. Happy Holidays!" When the FBD team called her back, Lorraine clarified that the pain level of 2-3 is only when bending her one finger, that then there's a slight throbbing. And much less when not bending it. And the other finger has zero pain. "Thank you so much."

"To my surprise someone called me a minute later... I went from level 7 pain to zero in a hour."

Gary burned his hand on a hot pot lid and texted the FireBurnDoctor within 20 minutes. When the FBD team called him back 2 minutes later, Gary's pain level was 4 (on the scale of 0 to 10). One hour and 20 minutes after that, Gary called to say, "I feel a lot better, within 45 min of calling. Thank you very much." When the FBD team called him back, Gary said his pain is zero and, "It's a whole lot better. Thank you."

28 days later, Gary emailed his report: "Christmas eve I opened a hot steaming pot of tamales that had been steaming four hours. I held the giant aluminum lid upside down by its wooden handle. It broke. The 30 inch lid touched my right hand burning my four fingers and my three lower knuckles. I was then bombarded with home remedies and lotions by my family. Soon the burn turned pink and painful, so I decided to look up fire burn doctor which I heard about on the Feet 2 Fire radio show. I was  a little skeptical. I expected an answer machine and some new age inspirational message. I left my info like requested, and to my surprise someone called me a minute later. It was the doctor himself! Nine days later, Carol emailed her report: "Hi FireBurnDoctor, On 12/25 i accidentally burned my leg after my jeans caught on fire. I had several 2nd and 3rd degree burns. Harold burned his finger fooling around with a cigarette lighter and called the FireBurnDoctor within 20 minutes. When the FBD team called him back 2 minutes later, Harold said his pain level when he made the call was 4 (on the scale of 0 to 10) and had already dropped to 2, adding, "I can feel it getting better now, wow, this is frickin unbelievable, not even a 2 now!" About one hour later, Harold called to say, "It's down to about a zero pain-wise. I don't know how to thank you guys. I'll get on your website and make a donation or something. What a service, what a frickin gift! [pause] Not much else to say." When the FBD team called him back 8 minutes later, Harold had more to say, "Zero pain. This blows me away. Great service, great gift, what can I say?... Do you offer training in this?"

Two days later, Harold emailed his report: "In a word, stunning. I was playing around with a cigarette lighter and somehow burnt my thumb, rather badly. I am somewhat of an expert on burning my hands and fingers because as an electronics tech, I had a soldering iron on all day. I would burn myself a few times a week until I finally got use to having it within reach. This was many years ago. When I burnt myself a few days ago, I could tell immediately it was going to be a blister the size of a spoon, so I ran cold water over it for about 15 minutes, but could still feel the burning, so I called the burn doctor and gave them my info. It had been about 20 minutes since the burn. They returned my call almost immediately and asked me for a little further information about my date of birth, etc. After a few questions I was asked how my pain level was, on a scale of 1-10 and I believe I told them it was a 3-4 before I called, but surprisingly it was down to a 2 at that time. I was almost aghast at what was happening, because I could actually feel something that was descending from my thumb tip towards my hand, moving in a smooth motion, essentially erasing the pain. Then there was a 3 minute pause before a second wave of pain-being-released continued in a smooth motion from my 1st knuckle toward my hand. It moved with almost mechanical precision. It was astonishing to watch my thumb as this very definite pain-relieving motion took place. I could see nothing, just the feeling of pain being relieved. Quite surprising ! I called them back about an hour later and reported my pain was now at zero and there was no blister whatsoever, or any pain at all from the injury. There wasn't even any redness. Like I said I knew exactly how much of a burn I received at the time of the accident due to my extensive experience with small hand burns, and I'm telling you emphatically it should have blistered and bothered me for several days. The next morning (this happened in the evening) I had completely forgotten about the entire incident until a lady here who witnessed the whole ordeal came to my room to ask me how my thumb was. Then I remembered ! I tested my thumb and felt absolutely no sensation of pain, itchiness or redness. Perfectly back to normal in every way... Thank you for the service you provide. This is truly love in action...."

Norine burned her hand with hot oil and called the FireBurnDoctor within 22 minutes. When the FBD team called her back 3 minutes later, Noreen said her pain level when she made the call was 5-6 (on the scale of 0 to 10) and had already dropped to 2-3. About one hour later, Noreen called to say, "Hi, this is [Noreen] calling back to tell you I have no pain at all! Thank you very much. I really appreciate it." When the FBD team called her back 4 hours later, Noreen elaborated, "It really helped a lot. Thank you so much. It helped just for you to call back, knowing someone cares."

One hour later, Noreen emailed her report: "I had heard about the Burn Doctor on my friend's radio show on Wolf Spirit Radio. I was dropping potatoes into grease and a big glop splashed up on my hand, I knew it was bad because the skin was already off in one part. I ran it under some cold water, that is when I remembered about the Burn Doctor and wished I had put the number in my cell phone when my friend suggested it. So I sent a text, got a call back, explained the situation, and they asked me to call back in an hour and tell them how I felt. I went on with my day. In an hour I felt no pain at all. Len burned his finger on a hot BBQ smoker and called the FireBurnDoctor within 10 minutes. The next day, the FBD team called Len for feedback and Len returned the call to say, "Yeah, this is Len. I called last night with a burn on my finger. I'm working nights, and I'm running the dozer so I didn't hear your call. The first hour it was hard for me to not think about it because you told me to not think about it, but anyway, within the first hour or so it quit hurting. There's a white spot, but it stopped hurting. Right now I can't tell if it's going to blister. Right now it's not. Anyway, it's doing something. You can try to call me back if you have more questions. I'll try and keep an eye on the phone. Thank you." When the FBD team called him back 5 minutes later, Len elaborated, "Zero in hour and a half. I forgot to call back because it stopped hurting.... I've been burned before, 3rd degree up my arm and shoulder before. I've told people about FireBurnDoctor and some people don't believe me, and it just blows me away that fire departments don't run with this!"

Seven days later, Len emailed his report: "I want to thank the FBD team for what they did for me last weekend, Jan 6, 2013. Last Sunday I decided I was going to smoke some Cornish Hens on an electric smoker that my mother had gotten us for Christmas, I got everything ready and started the process, after an hour or so I was going to change the wood chips in the smoker, I put on some thin mug welding gloves, which I use for all my outdoor cooking, I had gotten one of the gloves wet from dealing with the water smoked chips, without thinking I grabbed the stainless box that contains the chips to dump them in a container, all of a sudden I knew I had screwed up, by the time I got the container set down on something that wouldn't burn, (I didn't want to burn a hole or a spot on my deck, so I'm frantically trying to find something to put this hot bastard on that wasn't going to set my hourse on fire.) I ended up putting it on a large ashtray that was on the table, I could feel that glove continue to keep burning my finger even after I had set the container down, needless to say, I was in misery, I ran in the house and stuck my hand under the sink and started running cold water over it, it had burned the whole finger print area of my middle finger on my left hand, all of this happened around 8:20 central time, I was running the water over it and decided that ice might be better because I wasn't getting a lot of relief from the water, so I wrapped a few ice cubes in a paper towel, by this time it was white and wrinkly looking and burning like hell....

I had remembered listening to a radio program on Darkness Radio about the Fire Burn Doctor and I had put that phone number in my phone, I figured what the hell, I'm gonna give it a try, my damn finger was killing me, I remember the lady on the program saying just call the number and go ahead with whatever treatment you think you might need, bandage, water, ice, ambulance, etc.... As long as you called with thirty minutes of the burn, I didn't need an ambulance but I sure as hell needed this to stop burning, I called about 10 to 15 minutes after I got burned, I left some info on a voicemail, within a couple minutes of that this gentleman called me back, verified what had happened, got my name and place of birth and told me to try and not think about the burn and go on with whatever I was doing and call them back in an hour or so and let them know how I was doing, well it was really hard to not think about something that was hurting so bad, 9 on a scale of 1-10, I even told my son that I wished that guy hadn't told me not to think about my burn, it seemed that's all I could think about. We continued to watch whatever movie we were watching and I continued to babysit the smoker, we had a late dinner which was wonderful by the way, and we went about our normal Sunday evening.

The next afternoon my phone was ringing, I looked at the screen and it said Fire Burn Doctor, I thought for a second about the burn that I had received the evening before and looked at my finger at the same time I answered the phone, it was then that I remembered that I was supposed to call them back, hell, I forgot to call, I forgot to call because it was gone, the pain was gone within an hour and a half after it happened, the burn was completely gone, not even a blister, I couldn't even tell where the burn was, there was absolutely no sign of a burn, anyways the gentleman asked how I was doing, I apologized to him for not returning his call the night before and assured him that I would be telling what happened to me in an email and promising to pass their info out to anyone that I could, I'm a pretty strong skeptic person, but seeing is believing, I have been burned several times in the past 30 years, but I'll never suffer through another burn again as long as these guys continue to help people with this. I really appreciate what you guys did for me and I'll do my best to help pass on the FireBurnDoctor info. Thanks again."

Ricky burned his arm when hot water spilled on it and called the FireBurnDoctor within one minute. When the FBD team called him back 5 minutes later, Ricky said his pain level was 2. One hour later, Ricky called to say, "Just wanted to report pain is next to zero. If I didn't know I burned myself, I wouldn't notice it. There's a slight raise of the skin in the burn area. I don't know necessarily if that was there before hand. Thank you very much. Blessings on your work. We're all connected."

"My co-workers and I thought it was a joke.... It's NOT a joke!... You have one more believer spreading the word."

Nora burned her arm on scalding hot water and called the FireBurnDoctor within 20 minutes. When the FBD team called her back 5 minutes later, Nora said her pain was 3-4 (on the scale of 0 to 10). One hour later, Nora called to say, "Hello this is [Nora with an update on my burn. Doing a lot better actually. Size is reduced somewhat and it's not nearly as painful as it was. My number is... Give me a call if you need anything. Thank you." When the FBD team called her right back, Nora said her pain was gone, "not even a 1, point 5."

About six hours later, Nora emailed her report: "Early this morning as I was making bagels at work some scalding water splashed my arm. Initially it hurt pretty bad and was annoying when my chef coat came in contact with the burn. Above our hand washing sink a coworker had posted the info for the BURN DOCTOR. My coworkers and I thought it was a joke for the past few months that it was posted. I decided to give it a try. I left a message. Being that it was early morning I didn't think I'd get a response until later, if at all. Less than five minutes later I received a call back. Within about 20 minutes I forgot I even had a burn. The pain went from a 3.5 (on a 1-10 scale) to less then a 1 in just an hour. The burn itself went from a quarter sized to the size of a pin head in this time as well. By the end of my work day it was healed entirely. Thank you! At our all-staff kitchen meeting, I am going to remind all my staff about the burn number, and assure them it is not a joke, nor something to scoff at. I'm so glad I can rely on a simple phone call to help me with burns, even 3rd degree burns. It's quite a wonderful service."

"This is pretty amazing!"

Angie burned her hand on a hot broiler and called the FireBurnDoctor within 30 minutes. When the FBD team called her right back, Angie's pain level was 5 (on the scale of 0 to 10). Twenty minutes later, Angie called again to say, "actually, it's lessening quite a bit, now it's 3." An hour and a half later, Angie called to report: "It's been over an hour since I talked with you. There's no blistering, it seems to have faded. The level would probably be a 1. There's just a tiny bit of sensation. And it's not always there. So I'm really grateful. This is pretty amazing. I think it definitely would have blistered, and I would be feeling more pain. It would have taken a while. Pretty amazing... and thank you again.
